On Friday, April 3, 2015 Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group President, MP Hovhannes Sahakyan welcomed Canadian-Armenian community members Chahé Tanachian and Hagop Arslanian at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

They discussed the work of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee in Canada and its political initiatives. Mr. Sahakyan expressed his joy and asked the delegation to convey on his behalf a letter of gratitude to MP Brad Butt for his courageous and principled stand on the Armenian Genocide Motion (M-587) presented recently in the Canadian Parliament. Mr. Sahakyan also conveyed his greetings to MP Harold Albrecht, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Canada-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
