On Friday May 8, 2015 the AGBU Alex Manoogian School celebrated the Shoushi Liberation Day, which represents one the most glorious victories of the Armenian Nation. The students eagerly wait for this day all year long, as the school teaches them the importance of Shoushi and Artsakh, and the heroic men and women that led our People to have a free Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

For the students, it’s a festive day, with Armenian traditional music and Armenian dance. The School’s parents committee and many other volunteers from the community joined the festivities by preparing and serving lunch for all the students and the staff. That day is also important to remind the students that if they are able to celebrate the Victory of Shoushi, it’s thanks to young men and women serving in the Armenian Army who are defending the Fatherland day and night with courage and zeal. Long live Artsakh and our Fatherland!
