Last week, Alexandre Boulerice, the NDP candidate in the district of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie visited the AGBU Alex Manoogian school.
Mr. Boulerice was welcomed by Mr. Armen Bechakjian, Chairman of the School Board, its principal Chahe Tanachian, members of the school board and teaching staff. During the reception held in the school’s library, Mr. Bechakjian gave brief explanations about the school and spoke in depth about the newly arrived Syrian-Armenian refugees, classe d’accueil students of the school.
Mr. Bechakjian thanked Mr. Boulerice for his support towards the Canadian Armenian community and specifically for co-sponsoring Motion 587, that recognized the month of April as Genocide Remembrance, Condemnation and Prevention Month
Mr. Boulerice expressed his thanks for the work and mission of the Armenian General Benevolent Union in Montreal and left with high spirits at the end of his visit.
