On Wednesday, December 23, 2015 College and University students from Montreal who had received the AGBU Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year visited the AGBU Montreal Centre. The recipients were given extensive information about the work and the future projects of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and were asked to participate in the life of the community through AGBU. This year, $35,575.00 dollars were awarded to students from Montreal.

For almost a century, the AGBU Scholarship Program has helped tens of thousands of promising university students pursue higher education at some of the world’s top-ranked universities.

Annually, AGBU awards over $1,5 million to young adults pursuing higher education in over 40 countries. With that financial assistance, students with great potential but limited resources are able to engage in specialized fields of education, such as law, medicine, the performing arts and religious studies, and later establish successful careers.
